Coffee Crawl :: Bluestone Lane, DC
Full disclosure: I love Starbucks. I always have, and I'm sure that I always will. But, lately... I've been sipping lattes in beautifully designed places like this instead.
Can you blame me? I mean, c'mon. Just look at this stylish Australian-inspired cafe in DC -- it's perfect.
Thoughtfully designed coffeeshops with great branding make me swoon. It's dreamy spaces like Bluestone Lane that inspired this new series on the blog, which will document my caffeine fueled adventures and the coffeeshops I fall in love with along the way. Whether I'm sharing my local favorites or a coffeeshop I can't resist while traveling, my hope is that Coffee Crawl will inspire latte lovers to explore near and far with a pretty paper cup in hand.
Bluestone Lane + Macey Lutz
Earlier this week, I met up with lifestyle blogger Macey Lutz. We're both local to the DMV area -- she's from Virginia and I'm from Maryland -- so we decided to meet in the middle for coffee in DC. Without hesitation, we agreed to meet up at Bluestone Lane, this industrial-chic cafe on the corner of 23rd and L. It's new to the neighborhood, but it's already all over Instagram!
Speaking of Instagram... I've been following Macey for a little while now, but this was our first time meeting in real life! It was so refreshing to chat with someone about things other people don't understand (or care about) like how to track your analytics, Wordpress versus Squarespace, and the struggle to stand out in a saturated industry.
Sunshine beamed through floor to ceiling windows as we chatted over drinks and gluten free banana bread. The natural light was a blogger's dream, and neither of us were shy about taking out our cameras. From the botanical wallpaper to the modern light fixtures, there was so much to capture, and every single pretty detail added something to the sea foam green cafe.
